I have a Whirlpool Top Freezer unit that is 12 yrs old. It is noisy & clunks when it goes off It works great?
We took the back panel off and cleaned the area out. The compressor seems to be vibrating. We put some insulation around it and it’s a little better, but the noise is still bad, like a marching sound. It’s keeping everything nice and cold. I think it’s cycling too often, but I’m not sure.
